What you cant leave in 2015

Hi guys welcome back, so today is January 5th which means we are five days into 2016 I cannot believe how fast the holidays went. I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and new year, i spent new years eve with two of my favourite people ever and it was really nice to be away from Glasgow and be back in my hometown for a while. So today I am going to be talking about products (and a book) that i was loving in 2015, there's been a trend on twitter recently called #LeaveItIn2015 and i can honestly say that these things that i'm about to talk about definitely cant be left in 2015, you need these items in your life!!! So without further a due lets jump in...

So the first thing i'm going to be talking about is my tried and true foundation which is L'Oreal true match, this is my favourite foundation ever, i am currently wearing the colour "3.R/3.C beige rose" only because right now i am currently wearing fake tan. The thing i love about this foundation is the dewy flawless look it gives you and as you all know i'm a full coverage kind of girl and this foundation is like my holy grail!! There is also a huge colour range so you will 100% be able to find a shade that matches you, i know i've been using the Maybelline super stay 24hr but i do always end up going back to the true match like i just cant help it we are sole mates we are meant to be together!! This foundation is also very in-expensive which is shocking to me considering how good this guy is.

Does anyone else have really tuggy hair when they get out the shower after washing their hair? If so you need this little guy in your life, this is one of those tug teaser brushes and it is honestly such a life saver, i have such thick curly hair naturally so it tends to get all tuggy and out of control and i really don't like ripping half of my hair out of my head with a normal brush, so this guy just glides right through the hair and makes it tug free which equals a happy Chloe, i got mine from Superdrug and this is also very in-expensive.

This is another tried and true for me, this is the L'Oreal advanced correcting serum, i have been using this for a while and i have fallen in love with it!! I apply this onto my skin and neck before i go to sleep and what this does is it helps transform the appearance of skin quality, it evens out your skin tone and really helps to minimise and tighten your pores. I'm not gonna talk to much about this guy because for you guys to understand how it works you're really going to need to try it for yourself, things work differently on different people.

During Christmas i didn't really have the best of luck, i ended up getting a really bad cold the day after boxing day and i wasn't sleeping and i was getting really frustrated and stressed because i wanted to be well for new years eve, due to the lack of sleep i developed really heavy bags and dark circles under my eyes but luckily i picked this miracle worker up in Dundee right before i got ill and he literally saved my life!! This is just an eye roll on from Simple, i don't usually use Simple cosmetics but i'm so glad i purchased this, it wakes up your eyes and gives them a boost to make you look more alive, it feels very nice and cooling and it makes such a difference, i use this morning and night.

I felt like it was time to see what all the fuss is about this Micellar Water trend and now i know why everyone is going crazy for this product. I've heard people say that they will never use make up wipes again after using this stuff and I've been like yeah ok whatever but now i see what everyone's been going on about!! I cannot believe the amount of make up it removes off your face, it makes me wonder how much make up was still left on my face after removing it with a remover wipe, but anyways i really like this product and i feel like i will be keeping it around for a while!!

I am a full blown insomniac, i have always been a late sleeper it is something that i try to take control of, like I've taken tablets and i listen to soft music but if your brain in awake and wondering how the world was created then you're definitely not getting any sleep. My brain is just so active at night and i've always been this way so i try to make myself relax and this bedding spray by Febreze really helps. All you do is spray the Febreze all over your pillows and the scent is just so calming i fall asleep so much easier with this. It comes in two scents- warm milk & honey and lavender, me personally i don't like lavender so i went for the milk and honey, it is really helping me sleep i have been using this for nearly two years and  cant recommend this enough and after just two weeks of using it every night i felt so much more refreshed.

I know this isn't a beauty product but i really felt like i had to give this book a shout out, this little book hold my horoscope for the entire 2016, and before you say "how can you bring this from 2015?" i can do this because the book starts with your horoscope in October 2015. I have always been a really superstitious person, i believe in ghosts i believe in pretty much everything and it is comforting for me in to pick up this book every morning and read about what my day is going to hold.

This is a new find, this is the ocean salt face and body scrub from lush. It is very exfoliating on my face, i love how it makes my skin feel after i've washed it off, its very rough when i'm rubbing it onto my face but it isn't harsh enough to damage my skin (if you know what i mean) and it also smells like a spa. When i'm using it I just think about being at a spa on the beach in some exotic island far far away from Scotland ( a girl can dream right)

I want to talk about is my new discovery, this is the Revolution cosmetics vivid baked highlighter, I believe there is about three different colours available and the one I picked up was "Golden Nights". I apply this under my eyes just to make them pop, I still use the Rimmel highlighter and concealer under my eyes but now I apply the revolution highlighter on top. I am so happy I found this it has changed my life, the colour is very dewy and shimmery its just everything I need in my life, again this product is very in-expensive which really does shock me considering how amazing it is!!

Moving on to the got 2 b argan oil mist, this stuff really helps tame my frizz and keep it tangle free, i usually spray this on my hair extensions just to keep them healthy and natural looking, now it is a dry oil mist so i suppose it is just like dry shampoo, it really makes a huge difference and it makes me and my hair extensions very happy, again this is in-expensive and it smells amazing!!

Ok i promise this is the last thing and i'll keep it short and sweet... If your hair takes like 100 years to blow dry then you need to invest in this product, this is the V05 nourish my shine bedazzling oil heat protector. Now i know blow-drying can be a very time consuming process but this spray literally cuts the blow-drying time in half, i don't know how it works but it just does its a real life saver when you have a lot of hair, this product has definitely saved me a lot of time and if you don't believe me go find out for yourself!!

So that is it for my first blog of 2016, thank you so much for reading & I hope 2016 is your best year yet and I'm super excited to see where this year takes me so I can share it will you all!!
XOXO

Cocktail master class

Hi guys welcome back, so today is Christmas Eve, I am so excited to be home for the holidays and to be spending time with my crazy ass family and some very old friends!!! Today's post is going to be a little different, instead of a "how to : make up look" which Is what I usually post we are going to be doing a "How to : cocktails for Christmas"

So yeah you read it right, today I'm going to be talking you through how to make one of my favourite cocktails ever which is a Bellini!! These drinks are really easy and quick to make, their really good as a sort of welcoming drink if you are hosting this festive season...

You will need:
* drinking glasses obviously, there doesn't need to be a specific type just any glasses you have will do
* 1 lime
* a bag of sugar
* a small plate
*Prosecco (if you don't have Prosecco you can also use champagne)
*a large bottle of a flavoured smoothie
^ Now before we jump in let me just explain the smoothie.. usually when you have a Bellini its a puree that's been put into the glass not a smoothie but I was out shopping yesterday and couldn't find puree anywhere so I opted for an M&S smoothie which will work just the same!! There is usually a flavour to your Bellini and those flavours re either peach or berry, I couldn't find anything peach related in the shop but berry Bellini's are just as delicious!!

How to:
1. cut your lime up into wedges, then rub the lime wedge around the rim of your glass so its quite damp and sticky.
2. Open your sugar and pour some onto your little plate, then take your glass and dip the rim of the glass you just covered in lime into the sugar ( it should not look like this down below)

3. Measurements aren't that important if its just two ingredients so I just go with 50/50. Pour some of your smoothie into the glass so its half full
4. Pop open your Prosecco/champagne and pour it into the glass until its full
5. Give it a stir and then enjoy!!!
(P.S if there are any non drinkers in the family, you can swap the champagne/Prosecco for shloer, it will work just the same!!)

So there you have it, a quick easy cocktail recipe that will definitely impress your guests this holiday season, this recipe isn't just for Christmas it can be for new year or any upcoming event you may have on.

That's it for todays post, thank you so much for reading I hope you enjoy making these amazing cocktails, and from my family to yours have a Merry Christmas

XOXO

visit the dark side this christmas

It may be Christmas but it doesn't mean we cant visit the dark side...

Lets do the usual and jump right in!!

If I'm doing a dark eye shadow I do my foundation last, so the first thing I did was pop some primer onto my eyes, I then took my urban decay naked 3 palette and used the darkest shadow in there ( blackheart) and I just applied that to the inner and outer corners of my eye, I then took a blending brush and blended for what felt like 5 years but I'd rather have a sore arm than harsh lines... Now for the central part of my lid I took a Maybelline New York 24hr colour tattoo shadow in the colour "on and on bronze" and using my finger I just applied that onto my lid. After that I picked up my blending brush again and blended for another 5 years. This eye shadow look is a really time consuming process but the end result is so worth it. After I blended everything out I applied mascara and some false eyelashes (miss sporty studio lash instant volume and the ardell whispies)

Moving onto the foundation routine its just my usual:

* Olay 2 in 1 instant hydration and wrinkle blur
* Rimmel London lasting finish primer
* Maybelline New York baby lips - peach kiss
* Rimmel London match perfection concealer -010 ivory ( this is also the highlight I use for under my eyes)
*Maybelline New York super stay 24 hour foundation - 021 nude beige
*Rimmel London blush 020 pink rose
*Collection 2000 bronze matte glow
*Rimmel London brow this way gel - medium brown 002

For lipstick I decided to keep it dark also so I went for a deep purple look but if that colour isn't for you, you can totally go for a classic red lip. The colour I used on my lips was by L'Oreal Paris, it was one of the colour riche lipsticks and the colour number is 462

For my hair I just kept it very straight, I used a pair of GHD'S and VO5's heat protection spray to protect my hair. This look is great if you have any Christmas parties coming up.

Holiday Glam Make Up : Gold shimmer & matte lips

Starting off with my usual foundation routine:

 * Olay 2 in 1 instant hydration and wrinkle blur
* Rimmel London lasting finish primer
* Maybelline New York baby lips - peach kiss
* Rimmel London match perfection concealer -010 ivory ( this is also the highlight I use for under my eyes)
*Maybelline New York super stay 24 hour foundation - 021 nude beige
*Rimmel London blush 020 pink rose
*Collection 2000 bronze matte glow
*Rimmel London brow this way gel - medium brown 002

To create this look I used the Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette. ( apologies for my brows, I am trying to grow them out..) The first thing I did is take the colour "Thirteen" from the smoky palette and I applied that to my brow bone. I then took the colour "Dirtysweet" and I just applied that all over my lid, I really wanted this colour to pop so I did pack on the colour quite a bit. For the outer corners of my eyes I just applied the colour " Radar", I really love this colour its like a shimmery brown and its just so beautiful!!! so applying that lightly to the outer corners of the eyes then just using a fluffy brush to blend it out. With this look it is really important to blend blend and blend. If you feel like you've been blending for years just keep doing it, you'll really notice when its all perfect and blended out. I didn't wear liner for this look because I felt like the eye shadow was enough but of course you can apply liner if you wish. And really quickly for my under eyes I just applied a little bit of "Dirtysweet" to make my eyes pop more and make the look stand out more. Moving onto lashes and mascara I used my usual miss sporty studio lash instant volume and my false eyelashes were the ardell whispies of course!!

For lips I used Mac cosmetics for liner and lipstick, I first applied the liner all over my lips and this was in the colour "Redd" ( before anyone says anything, no I haven't made a spelling mistake the colour on the pencil is spelt with two D's) and then the lipstick is in the colour "Cockney" which is favourite holiday red colour ever!!!!

I of course used a little bit of fix+ on my face also...

And for my hair guys I just used a curling wand by TRESemme and please use heat protection before hand and a texture spray afterwards, I recommend V05

So that was it for this make up look, thank you so much for reading and until next time I will talk to you guys soon!!

XOXO

Winged eye & bold lips

Jumping in really quickly to the foundation routine, on my face I used:
* Olay 2 in 1 instant hydration and wrinkle blur
* Rimmel London lasting finish primer
* Maybelline New York baby lips - peach kiss
* Rimmel London match perfection concealer -010 ivory ( this is also the highlight I use for under my eyes)
*Maybelline New York super stay 24 hour foundation - 021 nude beige
*Rimmel London blush 020 pink rose
*Collection 2000 bronze matte glow
*Rimmel London brow this way gel - medium brown 002

Now for the eye look, today I didn't use any shadows on my eyes purely because this look is all about the lips!!
* Rimmel London Glam Eyes liquid liner (to draw right across my lid)
* L'Oreal Paris super liner perfect slim ( to draw the wing)
* Miss sporty studio lash instant volume
* False eyelashes were the ardell whispies, I like these because they look really long and natural

Now time for the lips, before applying any of the colours be sure to prep your lips, I.E. stick some lip balm on.. I used baby lips by Maybelline

The first lipstick is by Royal Cosmetics in the colour coral and its a nice bright colour to wear in all seasons.

The second lipstick option is by MAC cosmetics and that's in the colour cockney, its a beautiful bright red, its my go to red lip and this colour is perfect for the holiday season.

The third lipstick I have used is by Lime Crime in the colour Airborne Unicorn, I really love this lipstick its a bright pastel lilac colour perfect for anytime of the year. The other things that are great about this lipstick is that it is not been tested on animals, its 100% vegan, it smells really nice (trust me just take a sniff) and the packaging is just irresistible ( I'm such a sucker for nice packaging)

The final lipstick is also by lime crime and this is in the colour Styletto, this is the really black one, I originally bought this to complete a Halloween look I did a year ago and I genuinely thought that this lipstick would only make an appearance on Halloween but I was wrong. I really love this lipstick its great when you are feeling bold and adventurous, and also black lipstick isn't as hard to keep up on a night out believe it or not. As I said this lipstick is also from lime crime so everything I said about the above lipstick applies to this one also.

So that is it for our four winged eye and bold lip looks, have fun being bold and expressing yourself!!

XOXO

Natural cool tone make up

For this look its all about the eyes, to get this look I used my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette. I will list what foundation I used etc down below.

For this eye look I used the first four shadows in the naked basics palette firstly I mixed "foxy" and "W.O.S" together and blended that into my crease and all over my lid. Because the shades are so light you will need to pack the colour on a few times and really blend so there is no harsh lines. After that I took the lightest shade from the palette called "Venus" and applied that all over my lid, adding a bit of shimmer to the other two shadows. I then took the colour "naked 2" and applied that to the outer corners of my eyes very lightly just to make the eyes pop a little more. After that I just took a blending brush and blended out the naked 2 colour, I blended for a good five minutes because what do we not want? harsh lines. After that I just applied some mascara and some black pencil eye liner to the bottom outer corners of my eyes. I was actually going somewhere when I did this look and because I live in Scotland and we are currently in the middle of hurricane "Desmond" I didn't see a point in applying false lashes because they would just blow off the second I stepped outside the house, but if the weather wasn't so awful I would of applied lashes and I will list the lashes I would of used down below.

Full Face:
* Olay 2 in 1 instant hydration and wrinkle blur
* Rimmel London lasting finish primer
* Maybelline New York baby lips - peach kiss
* Rimmel London match perfection concealer -010 ivory
*Maybelline New York super stay 24 hour foundation - 021 nude beige ( this foundation is a little dark for me because right now I am at my lightest so I had to take it down to my neck, foundation was blended out using a damp beauty blender)
* NO7 stay perfect metallic eyes pencil
*Miss sporty studio lash instant volume
*Lashes (if the weather wasn't so horrible ) - Ardell whispies

XOXO

Dior samples plus Clarins, Benefit & Victoria's Secret miniature haul

Before we jump right into the video I would just like to say sorry in advance for saying Dior mascara instead of perfume, the bad lighting, all the folders/paperwork in site (college has been hectic recently), my deep manly voice and obviously my nails!!! I am going to get them re-done tomorrow though I promise xxxx

Everything in the video was store bought.

The Dior samples were free but the original price is about £67 for 100ml and yes I know its a men's after shave but it just smells so damn good!!
The pore minimising serum - the one that I have is only 3ml but the bigger 30ml one is available for £27
The gentle day cream, again the one I have is only a little 5ml one but the bigger 50ml one is available for £39
The body treatment oil comes in three different versions - contouring & strengthening, firming & toning and soothing & relaxing. The one I picked up is the firming & toning one and these are available for £40

Victoria's Secret : Noir Tease is available in the store and online ( prices are different in certain places)

Everything I said about Noir Tease is the same for the Snow Mint body mist

Benefit: The four benefit presumes are called Gina, Lee Lee, Bella and Noelle. The scents are very floral/fresh and I'm obsessed with the packaging

XOXO
